Does anyone have personal experience with this particular BC? My LDS is offering me a rather attractive deal and I would like to know from current owners what are the good points and the bad points of this BC.

Is this a new addition to their line or has it been around for a while? My dealer explained that this model is back inflate and non-weight integrated. What else should I know?

Any help would be appreciated. eyebrow

I don't know where you're planning on diving, but most folks do prefer weight integration. Back-inflate is a great thing. I'm not familiar with this particular model, but especially if you're doing mostly warm water diving, having a few weight integrated pockets is a really nice thing. I'd take a good look at the Zeagles - Stiletto and Brigade.

For cold water diving, the BC usually can't handle all the weight anyway, so you'll need a weight belt probably anyway. For cold water, I'd look at a BP/W because it needs less weight to sink, has weight built into the plate, and can accomodate a weight belt much better than a BC with a cummerbund. BP/W is also great for tropical diving.

Have no experience using this BC, but as far as I am aware it is designed to be a simple, lightweight travel, which is to say tropical, BC with back inflation. If you have tec or something tending toward extreme (e.g., cold water) diving ambitions, you might want to think twice about buying that BC. But again, this is based on reading about the BC rather than actual experience with it.

I tried one on at a dive shop in Key Largo when I was vacationing there, What I didnt like was that the waist cumberbun strap was low and would ride on my weight belt. I prefer more clearance between the two. Very close to the knighthawk
