Question Scubapro A1 battery change

Says it has to be done by a dealer. My closest dealer is 50 miles away and not my favorite.

Looks like 4 screws and a standard battery but I'm told it will give an error if not reset. Does anyone know how to do that reset? Does it require something special?

I bought it used so no warranty anyway.

Don't do it yourself; it is so freaking complicated. Send it to a dealer who was trained on how to do it and knows it. There is a guy here on SB who can do it and is highly qualified. Communicate with him and arrange to send it to him. I believe that he is in FL.

Although I love almost everything Scubapro makes, I hate the A1 & A2 dive computers for this specific issue. I would never recommend them based on the battery issue. They are good for everything else. You will need to change the battery frequently, around 200 dives or so. Definitely, every two years at the most. Your living in the US, FL specifically, this shouldn't be a big issue for you, but for me, living in Libya, and I'll have to send it to Europe for a battery change, is a huge expense and takes forever.
