The latest innovation from AERIS, the ACCEL fin, has received the key BEST BUY rating from SCUBALAB. As published in the August issue of Scuba Diving magazine, the ACCEL fin is “an impressive performer, good for both local diving and travel.”
Weighing just over a pound, the ACCEL fin is made from a high-performance Monprene material which provides superior speed, thrust and maneuverability without excessive effort. The test divers reported the ACCEL fins were among the fastest fins to be released in 2013.
According to Doug Krause, AERIS Vice President, “The ACCEL gives fans of open-heel fins the best of both worlds: the performance and adjustability of an open-heel fin, with the weight, size and comfort of a full-foot fin. There isn't a better open-heel travel fin, and the impressive design of the ACCEL means diver's won't have to sacrifice performance for local diving.”
Krause adds there are multiple color options available for divers as the interchangeable accents and patented fin strap can complement any diver’s color style – while minimizing the inventory investment for retailers.
The ACCEL has a suggested retail price of just $99 and is available now.

Just wondering what it costs to obtain a BEST BUY rating from a magazine that charges manufacturers to pretend that they did real and meaningful research and testing----and actually convinces "some" consumers that the tests mean something......

The point is that dive shops should start doing Demo Days so divers actually can find out what gear is good gear...rather than being lied to by the industry.
