Here's a link to a quick review I wrote in the Kentucky Piranha Patrol forum of my trip to ScubaFest 2007 in Wilmington, OH, this past weekend (3/10-11).

Anyone else attend? If so, share your thoughts.

I did end up going (I didn't realize it was just down the road in Wlimington, until I got a phone call Saturday), but only wandered around the displays, didn't go to any of the seminars. The DUI guy did get me into a dry suit, tho (just for a demo, I didn't buy from him).

Jim,
this was my second year to attend ScubaFest. I attended a Friday afternoon workshop with Carrie Sowden (MAST), several free seminars on Saturday and Sunday, took the DAN O2 course Sunday am, and left around 1:30pm Sunday. While some may not have been too impressed with the exhibits, I can tell you first hand that the arrangement was MUCH better than in previous years where they were split between several small rooms, down the hallway, etc.

The new facility in Wilmington, while it did have its issues, will provide ScubaFest with adequate room to expand in future years. The best thing we can all do is to continue to support ANY CONFERENCE that promotes diving and to share the info with both diving and non-diving friends next year....and have them come along with you.

Thanks for your initial report.
