Well darn it all, I really can't go on this excursion and I really, really wanted to but I just absolutely can't. I will definitely be watching the boards for future scubaboard trips. I know you're going to have a fabulous time and I'm so sorry, but this year it is just not doable.

I visited Belize in 2022 on the Belize Aggressor IV. The Blue Hole was indeed very disappointing but the visit to Half Moon Caye and the dive on Half Moon Caye wall were more than worth it.

I’ve done the Blue Hole dive three times since 1993. It is always sort of interesting, and it is never a “must go back right away!” dive.

Most recently:


Don’t pass it up unless your multiday dive plan doesn’t need the extra gas load from starting a day at 140 feet. But no need to do it twice IMO.

I won’t be joining the trip — but if I can help answer Qs about diving in Belize I will try. I’ve been coming and going from Belize since ‘93 and have a place there so I may have a few local tricks/tips…
