A bit late in getting this in. X-mas and the Surge trip got in the way but a very special THANK YOU to Nautilus Explorer and her crew for the outstanding Socorro Islands trip. This trip was not even on my radar and likely if it wasn't for their great prize ($1k discount on a trip), we probably wouldn't have considered it. Great trip all around. Having a ray just stop and look you in the eye was just magical. Mantas (3 kinds), dolphins, sharks (5 kinds)., octopus, and even nudibranchs - this trip had it all. That 1st shot is completely uncropped. I kept trying to back away from the ray since I didn't have my wide angle lens - she just kept getting closer wanting to hang close. A magical moment for sure.
