you will enjoy czm. there are something like 100 dive ops there. most, but not all are good. the one i have loyalty to is aldora. manger memo always takes care of people. i like to stay in town. walk to peir and restaurants. prefer to eat where the locals eat.

The diving is mostly drift diving and you will have a great time. I took my own gear, and after seeing the rental stuff, was glad I did.

Hello Scuba 56 , My wife and I were diving in Cozumel in April 2007 , Most dives are drift dives, meaning you dive in one site and the current takes you ( and your guide) out at a fair distance of your entry point .
Drift dives are nice , there are some inconviniences , such as difficulty in stopping to see something interesting, unless you grasp on to something on the bottom , not great for corals.
We were somewhat dissapointed at the flaura , there was a hurricane a couple of years back and flaura has not yet fully regained it's luxurious appearance .
Water temp is OK , current 2 to 3 knots ..

have a great time
