I am new to the boards as well, ever dive monterey? perhaps we can work out a so~cal monterey dive trip ? I dove anacapa off ventura on the dive boat liberty and had a GREAT time. got 4 lobsters my first time out. would love to try more so~cal waters

I visited Monterey Bay about 20 years ago, I can still picture all the seals and sea lions on the rocks it was real neat. The water is rather cold there isn't it?

Monterey is almost exactly in between san fran and LA, world famour cannery row, big sur, carmel ect ect

I dove off the Liberty a couple of weeks ago... not a very good experience for me, though.

Bu tI do love Anacapa and the Channel islands!

No I've never dove in Monterey, matter of fact never been to Cali.
