Hi everyone,

It was great to meet all of you and put faces with names. This was my first time attending the event, and I have to tell you, I had a blast! It was great seeing and visiting all the cool booths, bumping into friends and diving buddies, and meeting up with all of you.

Did any of you go over and have your pic taken with the old diver suit and bell helmet??? That was really fun!

I entered as many drawings as possible. Keep the group posted if any of you win any of the cool prizes being given away. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some of the live aboards.

Who said there wasn't merchandise to purchase and carry??? Geesh, next time I am leaving ATM and CC's HOME! I spent way too much today, thanks to my friend and buddy (seams like we bought alot of the same stuff! ...at least 3 items that I can think of). I told him that I'm not going shopping with HIM anymore! LOL

So what gadgets did anyone purchase or order? What do you all think of that 'duck' device that attaches to your inflator hose? Sure seems like it would be better than a water whistle.

Anyway, hope you all had as great of a time as I did. Debbie, give us an update on how the Casino Night went. Sure wish I was able to go, but my feet were hurting between last night and today.....not as young as I used to be.

Hope to see the group pic posted!

Cheers

Hi Jan!

It was great to meet you, HeadHunter, Arnaud & Karen also, and see Kelphelper and her husband Derek, Caveseeker7, and Mo2vation as well. Where were you, Pasley?? And I hear I missed you, PhotoTJ! But, it was so fun to see such a large contingent of ScubaBoarders at the show! I am sure Mo2vation will post the pictures soon, I have seen one of them and it looks great.

I didnt have time to enter a lot of contests, but I did try on drysuits and bought a mask. I saw several old friends, and Wrinkles and I went to one of the seminars, "Stupid Animal Tricks". I really wish I could go back tomorrow, there was so much I missed because I had to leave early.

On the other hand, I was able to see my daughter's friend, Justin Germano, make his Major League debut pitching for the San Diego Padres against Philly... I got home in time for his second batter and cheered him on for 5 innings - and they WON! He had some challenges, but I thought for a 21 year old, he looked great out there ! He has a tremendous curve ball!!

Show was pretty good today. I got a bunch of little stuff thrown from the Sport Chalet folks and actually won a gear cleaning set on a drawing.

I had a great time at the show and really enjoyed putting the faces and names together. Everyone looked like their pictures in their profiles, so it made it easy to find them.

Everybody was really fun, but then what would you expect from a bunch of divers! :crafty:

I look forward to meeting more and more of you as time goes on.

Hi everyone,
It was great to meet all of you and put faces with names.

Not too tough when you assemble, print and schlep around your own map o' profile pics! Headhunter, you rock.

A few of us did a little shopping while at the show!

Uh, can do!

Very nice to see everyone. I was totally going to blow this show out, as I've been to them all since about 1999. But you guys sort of talked me into it, and I'm so glad I went. The show was just OK - but meeting a bunch of boarders I've never met before was totally worth it.

Here's a link to the Scuba Show 2004 gallery. Be sure to click on the thumbnails, then simply click "next" in the upper-right hand corner to advance through them all.

Thanks everyone!

Looks like I missed a great Saturday turnout :(

Looks like I missed a great Saturday turnout :(

Tried to get there in time, but after my afternoon nap didn't show up until 4 or so......

Picke up a strobe and wide angle lens, a t-shirt, some stickers, met some old and new friends, then after Mexican at Tequila Jack's got on the Encore for an SCI trip. A diving weekend....

Sound like the show was fun - sorry I missed it! I had family commitments all weekend, and had been hoping to be able to get out early enough to make it, but wasn't able to. Oh well, there's always next year!
