Havent dived since March / April and just wondered if I would be need
to do the PADI Scuba Review ?
Does anyone know what the scuba review course cover and if its all pool based
or is there a sea dive, bought a drysuit months ago that hasnt seen the water.

Do you feel you can safely plan and execute the dive you wish to do right now? If so, go dive, if not, get a refresher. You know better than anyone else what you need.

Now as for the drysuit, I would get back in the water for a few dives before changing any gear.

It sounds like you're contemplating a return to diving after about 6 months and trying out a drysuit. It's always best to avoid having more than 1 challenge per dive.

The first question is "how much diving have you done and how comfortable were you as of April?"

I have seen scuba reviews take all sorts of forms and in this case taking a drysuit course and informing the instructor of your hiatus ay be a good plan.

I agree with Spectrum, taking a dry suit class may serve you better than a scuba review.

To answer your question, the Scuba review consists of a Knowledge Review and Confined Water Skills Review with and optional open water dive.

Take a drysuit course before diving alone in a drysuit. You will learn something and at least get some practice before getting in open water.

With time out of the water of 5 months a scuba review may not be necessary. But, if you only have a couple of dives a review cannot hurt and will remind you how equipment works. If you have a lot of dives and you are otherwise comfortable, the drysuit course should assist.

Got to go for a drysuit course, you will soon know how comfortable you are in the water after a 6 month rest.

Thanks for the advice.

I learned how to dive in a drysuit so im confident enough with that part
I just wasnt sure what the form was when it came to not having dived
for a while.
