Scuba Pro is releasing their Litehawk BC to the US market.
It has been marketed in Europe for sometime.
Has anybody dove with this BC? It appears to has alot of the characteristics of a BP & W design. It only weighs about 5 lbs,
& has a lift of 56lbs.

LITEHAWK - SCUBAPRO-UWATEC

I have not dived it yet but I did play around with it a couple of weeks ago when the SP rep dropped by. It is a nice little rig. It is not much heavier than the Geo (SPs travel BC) and much more stable feeling. I think it would make a pretty good travel BC. From what I understand SP is starting to bring a number of their European products to the US in the next year or so. I am looking forward to the changes. SP has great equipment but has gotten a little stale to me lately. This should spice things up a little.

DITTO, I though the same thing when the SP Rep was in!! Not Wght Integrated but you could use the side pockets for Wght and if you were to need more or you want another option, use Halcyon Trim Wght Pockets on the back cam strap. Nice BC!!

Halcyon Trim Weight Pockets, The SCUBA Connection 888-SCUBA-47 12.320.005 *Buy Halcyon at DIVESEEKERS.com 888-SCUBA-47

They have clips on them instead of Velcro so Wght won't fall out.

Tried one on today ..very basic and simple.the pockets on it are trim pockets and actually are not on your side but moe towards your back when you wear the thing.price also is not bad.seems reasonable.

If I remember correctly the trim pockets are adjustable and can be moved anywhere on the belt. However, if I get one for a travel BC I will probably buy some DiveRite or OMS weight pockets and attach them instead. Best of both worlds.

56lbs lift weight sounds like massive overkill... it's a shame that they didn't make a 26lb or 30lb version. Might be a bit more streamlined if it was smaller.

This looks like a great BC. The only thing putting me off is the massive and bulbous bladder. They really should have offered different capacities and made it more streamlined.

It's looking like I'll get the OxyCheq Mach V 30lb wing. Although, the Litehawk has better dump valve design and I think their inflator might be better quality... not sure on that.

That's exactly what I was thinking.....

As to the 56 lbs of lift, my LDS, who is a Scuba Pro seller, told me the actual lift is 46 lbs, & the 56 lbs claim is a misprint. Not that it really makes much difference. The more lift the better......

Hey guys,
I am gearing up and looking at Aqualung Zuma and Litehawk. Can you please tell me how Litehawk packs? Can you roll it like Zuma or flatten it to small size? I can't find any pictures on the web showing packed Litehawk.
Thanks!
Marcin

I recently bought a Litehawk, am considering it to replace my loved but leaky Ladyhawk. (Leak not the Ladyhawks fault.) The Litehawk doesn't roll as there is fairly stiff plastic in the back, but it lies pretty flat. I don't recall how it compares to the Zuma in that regard as I had looked at one of those but it was pretty long ago (decided I didn't like the Zuma tank strap arrangement so didn't look further at it.)

I'm not crazy about the "accessory" pockets that came with my Litehawk, especially if left positioned as is (which is what it seems to really be designed for, even though they could be moved.) They seem ill-suited for main weights (if you're looking for integrated) or storage, and I don't know that the position works for trim weight, but I haven't had it in the water. They are positioned far enough back that maybe you could get away with using only those for all your weight if you don't need much, and not need trim weights in back, but I dunno. If I keep it I suspect I will wind up replacing them with something else.
