I use a Glide when teaching recreational diving. I like it a lot! If you put a Scubapro BC next to most of them on the market, you can see a definate quality difference. Very good, balanced inflator, very good metal tank strap buckle, great padding, rolled edge padding at the collar. Glide has a nice small zippered pouch on cumberbund. I also prefer the integrated weight system of Scubapro BC's over others. Very secure. I put over a 100 dives on mine last year without a single issue. I'll probably put another hundred or so on it this year.

I had a Glide 3000 for a while. It was THE most comfortable jacket bc I ever wore - like it was fitted to me. Beautifully engineered.
It wasn't that easy to convert to doubles without getting a part from Europe so I wound up selling it to a guy in Taiwan.

I like mine very much. I find the quality very high. It has a carry handle that you would never notice until you need it. A great seat for the tank and strap with a buckle that can be set for your normal tank size so you only have to snap it rather than tread and buckle it each time. Well padded so you never feel the tank on your back; has more than enough D rings; front/side weight integrated pockets and two small trim pockets in the rear.
I prefer it over the ScubaPro Classic because it is not as high in the front and allows more freedom. I have never felt a squeeze even when fully inflated on the surface waiting for a pickup.
I have tried other brands but prefer the GlidePlus everytime. Expensive but worth it. Quality costs but considering the function of the aparatus, money should not be a factor.

I had a glide plus and loved it.Never had a problem with it.But it was stolen from my garage.I am going to an excursion now though. I want to try a back inflate. And I just can,t see paying $700bucks for a Night Hawk.

a nighthawk shouldnt be $700 unless you are including the AIR2. But even then it should not be that high. Some LDS members may provide pricing info better than me but as I recall the Knighthawk is not near $700, more like $500, $600 at the most including AIR2.

I believe it is the 2007 Scubapro catalog that has them listed for $725.00.That probably is with AirII. I think without AirII it was still over $600.00.

I got mine for 600 with the air2 :p. Maybe your LDS could give a discount or something.

I purchased mine for 535.00 and purchased another used vest with air2 .
took air2 off used vest had lds put it on new one.
about 640.00 in it
compared to 760.00 new with air2

I got the ScubaPro Glide Plus at Christmas for $600. Will be using it for a week in February in Cozumel. Also a new 5 mil full suit. With the new equipment, I'm just curious on how it will affect buoyancy. Can anyone tell me about the buoyancy (deflated) on this BCD?
