How hard is the open water test for PADI? Is the written part multiple choice or short answer?

The test wasn't that hard..Just do a lot of reading beforehand. And answer the knowledge reviews YOURSELF. I had a couple of people in my class copying each other coz they haven't read the text book. It's rather important.

Dive safe!

I am beginning my OW PADI class at the end of this month, along with my wife and two daughters. Since the youngest is only ten, PADI limits the class size to 4 students. I talked to our instructor, and he agreed to let us use the CDROM version of Go Dive since it will allow up to 4 people to use it. After installing it on every computer in the house (the kids each have their own), all of us have been using it. I am fairly impressed with it, because the videos and quick quizzes are right there, and the reading is broken down into more manageable chunks, especially for the youngest daughter. I know that if she had to read the text, she would be lost, but she has already completed two sections, including the knowledge reviews, and has scored perfect on everything so far.
Not sure if this helps or answers your question, just sharing my experience so far.
