My friend's son had a school assignment to write a poem. He wanted it to be about scuba diving, and so he asked me what it was like. After I described it to him and showed him some underwater pictures, he created his poem. It made me chuckle ... so I thought I'd share ...
Come with me,
We can be free.
From rain and thunder,
In a world of wonder.
We can see the wild creatures,
All the colorful features.
Hear the swooshes of fish,
And the dolphins going swish.
Floating without weight,
And never have to wait.
Feel calm as the world slows down,
And see the surgeon fish that are brown.
As the pressure in our ears rises,
We find more fish of different sizes.
We are inside a whole new world,
Do you see the eel that is curled?
This is a time of utter peace,
As the excitement will start to increase.
We hear more than are minds are supposed to handle,
Our time is almost up, do you have your sandal?
We can barely see,
But we still have glee.
It has been an hour of serenity,
But with these suits on, I can barely tell your identity!
Come with me and experience the thrill.
