The Avelo system
only if it takes hold and actually become the normal way of diving. Otherwise, it is a flash-in-the-pan and gone...like the waist-mounted buoyancy control system and the HYDRO_Optic mask.

Hey, my wife loves her hydro-optic mask. It works great if the underwater distortion happens to match your prescription.

But overall, their plan of getting divers to use contacts to make themselves nearsighted so the masks would work underwater (and then use a monocle to see on the surface) was a bit far-fetched.

As to the Avelo, I think their best use is for luxury discovery dives.
