Since you are asking this question, you might not know. The SSC dive operation, predominantly tells you were you are going with no discussion. They also use an incremental depth program where even if you show you know what you are doing, it could be days before you are taken to anywhere deeper.
We really like the hotel, but the dive operation not so much.
One advantage though is the unlimited shore diving.
I have found that after day one or two, once the divemaster and crew get to know the ability of the group, they will ask where you want to go. Last year when I was at Scuba Club, we had Nestor as our divemaster for the duration of our stay. While there were some days when the dive location was pre-determined due to a variety of factors, there were many days when he would ask where we wanted to go.
The unlimited shore diving is a great plus as well. Grab a tank from the shop and hit the water. Make sure you do at least one night dive from shore - plenty to see - lots more out at night than during the day.
