This is my 3rd dive computer in 5 years... The LCD screen is fading... What am I doing wrong??? Maybe using a dive computer...

LCD's are susceptible to fading, most commonly due to the elastomer rubber (conductive) behind the screen. That's the case if you push on the screen and the text becomes more visible. I would expect the manufacturer to replace it - what brand are you using?
 
A low battery can also cause a similar effect. It depends on the model.
