Hey Guys never thought much of this ...However why do some scooter brand tow rope position go from 12 -6 o'clock and others go from 9-3 o'clock... would this be more comfortable riding or better towing?

I definitely prefer 9 to 3 o’clock. I don’t think I’d consider a DPV with vertical anchor points.

If my tow rope isn’t equidistant when I want it to be (going straight ahead), it only requires a small nudge left or right with my drive hand while underway without affecting buoyancy.

If the anchor points were at 12 to 6 o’clock, that little adjustment up or down would alter my buoyancy in ways outside my tolerance. I wouldn’t lose control of my buoyancy but there would be more fluctuation than I desire.

Here you go...

12/6 with the cord sliding through the boltsnap. Trims perfectly, can run at medium speed hands free for ~5 seconds, turns easily. When I need my right hand or just a rest I put my left on the shroud with the cord between my thumb and index, can drive like that as long as I'd like
