I'm in the market for a drysuit, laminated shell, not neoprene, but can't afford the 2K+ for a new DUI TLS350. I see TLS350s (or similar) used at a range of asking prices, but ones in good shape going for as low as $500 - $700, but alas, not in my size. I'm 6'1", 195 lbs, with the extra 20 lbs in the belly, not the chest :(. I see used ones in large, which would be too short for me, and extra large, which would be too baggy. I need at large tall. My alternative is to go for something new like the Sea Elite Scout for $599, which I think is actually a USIA suit (although I can't tell for sure if it's one of their regular models like the Aqua Deluxe or something made especially for the OEM market. I'm pretty sure it's also the same as the AquaSport sold by Dive Right In, also for $599 -- USIA sells an AquaSport but it's rear entry and both the Scout and DiveRightIn AquaSport are front entry). Anyway, other than being bi-lam as opposed to tri-lam, I suspect there are other quality of parts and build issues that separate a $2K+ suit from a $600 suit. On the other hand, I can order the Scout (or AquaSport) in Large Tall, so it might actually fit me. But I'd much rather a TLS350 (or something along the same lines) that would fit. Anybody out there who got a decent drysuit then decided to quit wreck or cave diving (or gained 40 lbs and won't fit anymore) and wants to unload it? In full working order would be best but I'm not averse to having wrist and neck seals replaced and having general integrity tested and minor repairs effected.

Thanks and happy diving!

I am 5'11" 200-210 (the extra 10 adding to the belly), and my TLS350 fits fine. It may by slightly baggy on the surface, but the laminated shell squeezes nicely underwater. If you find a good enough deal on an XL-go for it. Have you been to one of the DUI Dog Days?

Thanks Katch; found a barely used TLS350 XL at a good price. It's on its way to me!
