The Savannah area Blackbeard's Scuba Club will be having its monthly meeting this Friday 2/17/06 at The Pirates' House restaurant on 20 E. Broad just south of Bay St. in downtown Savannah. Meetings start at 8 pm although you can always get there early to start socializing. This is a great way to meet fellow divers and to see whats going on with diving around the area. At this meeting we will be discussing our dive trip schedule for our bus trips and our international trips. Every month we schedule a guest speaker on subjects from continuing education for divers including free refreshers to NOAA reps who will be giving an excellent presentation on Gray's Reef at April's meeting. We invite all to come and check out our club at www.divegeorgia.com and to come to our monthly meetings. Hope to see you there.

Hello,
This is Mike also from Blackbeard's Scuba Club. We are a dive club located in south Georgia. We invite you to come check out our website included in the above post. Even if you can not join our meetings we would like to hear about experiences from divers everywhere. If you are traveling this way we can help turn you on to some great dive spots. We organize a few long distance charters ourselves so maybe some of you can help us out with some info.

Our club's meeting time is the first Friday of the month starting at 8 pm. We try to meet at different restaurants around the historic area of Savannah. Although, the next meeting day of March 3 will start at Ga. Offshore at 7 pm in Richmond Hill where one of our instructors will be giving a free refresher on a scuba topic. We will then go next door to finish the meeting at Steamers and grab dinner. Hope you can come out.

I'm new to Savannah & read about the club before I moved here but missed the last meeting. I plan to come to the next & looking forward to meeting fellow divers in the area. Looking forward to oysters at Steamers too! :D

Well, darn it, I missed the meeting. Thursday night I came down with what I think was a bout of food poisoning. After being up all night (I'll spare the details) I still had to drag myself to work yesterday. All I could do when I got home was crash. Please let me know when & where the next meeting will be.

No problem. The next meeting will be at the Pirates' House on E. Broad just off of Bay St. in downtown Savannah. Although meetings usually start at 8 this one we will eat early at around 7 due to our guest speaker from NOAA. He will be putting on an excellent presentation about Grays Reef and coastal Georgia diving. See you there.

Sounds great. I'll sure try to get there this time. What date is it?
