No diving for me today as it's pretty windy and I had lots of real work to do
So have been going through some recent photos and realized I hadn't ever truly looked at most of the shots I took on this one spectacular dive.
This little guy is Corythoichthys amplexus and depending on which book you look at is commonly called either "red-banded" or "brown-banded" pipefish.
This one is definitely RED as that is how I noticed him in the first place...this little tiny wriggle of red caught my eye. Still took me a minute to really focus and realize what it was!
He's about 7cm (3") long...but skinny minnie! I only took a couple of shots of him as I was already into deco time...but sometimes you just gotta stay one more minute! I hope to find one again earlier in a dive so I can really concentrate on getting an up close and personal shot...so many creatures, so little time!
