I am new to this site and I wanted to gain some information. I have Sarcoidosis in my left lung. I have seen every doctor around over the past 14 years and I continue to be treated for the issue. I understand that I am not able to dive with compressed gas. I am however wanting to look at the possibility of freediving. I am a recreational snorkler and would would like to learn more about freediving as I have been cleared to go down to a max depth of 6 meters. I also would like to become certified in this area also even though I would never be able to.move into diving per say. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

Check your local dive shops. Both SSI and PADI have freediving certification programs and with your 6 m limit that would be the Basic Freediving (SSI). Looks like you're located just south of Orlando and there is an SSI shop north of you (Castaway Scuba Adventures).

Hope this helps!

Just asked the mods to move this to Dive Medicine as it is a better place to find an answer for you.
