going to san juan friday. would like to do some free diving. Interested in doing some shore dives. max dept to 60' or so. will have car. can travel up to 45 minutes. any help suggestions are greatly appreciated.
 
I'm not 100% sure on this but, I don't think there are many diving spots around the San Juan area. Most of them are to the west and south west part of the island. Rincon and the island of Mona...
Just google it and you'll find a lot of info... I just remembered. check out the Oct issue of Sport Diver they have a good article about diving there. Great food... Have fun
 
I didn't have time to dive when I was in PR, but everything I've read says San Juan area is not the place to dive and the place to go is the west or southwest of the island. You could head east to Fajardo and take a boat from there but I don't think it's a big shore diving area.
