Friend wants to get his g/f certified in SD....

Can any of you San Diegans recommend a good shop or instructor?

Thanks

Chris

Just depends on how much you want to spend and what kind of instruction you want her to get. I'm sure OE or any of the other shops are fine. There are also top of the line private instructors around, like Martin Grath. The cattle heard classes will be cheaper, but you can't beat the attention you would get from a private instructor.

I have a friend that works with AquaTeach in SD. He is an awesome instructor. PM me if you would like his phone number.

I was trained at Ocean Enterprises with an awesome instructor who was not only very thorough but willing to see you got the personal attention that you or he, thought you needed and whose love of the sea is downright contagious
They also have access to a very large pool with a 12' deep end
Let me know if your interested

Another person I dive with used Tony So for his instruction. These 2 go diving now all the time.... He's pretty active in the SD community and he teaches through OE...

Chris,

If your friends g/f lives in north San Diego County, I would highly recommend Steve DeNeef, owner of Underwater Schools of America in Oceanside. They have a great selection of gear and an onsite pool. http://www.usascuba.com/
