Hello divers:

This is my first post . Everyone interested in to share information about u/w photography , cave diving and travel can contact me.

To start , i need some help for my next trip on sept-oct/04:

1-Day boats and dive sites ex-San Diego ,CA ? I'm looking for good kelp diving , best viz. possible and abundance of photo subjects . I'll be only 3 days and thinking that San Clemente ( 2 days) and Coronado are the best places

2- After 1 week at the Fiji Aggressor, i'm planning to spend 1 week at Bamboo Beach Resort/Crystal Divers and 1 week at Moody's Namena. I would like to know what to do at Nananu-I Ra island besides the diving and any comments or tips on diving at both places.

Gracias

Welcome to the Board.

I live in SoCal and occasionally dive off the Lois Ann in San Diego. This is a good boat for day trips and it has nitrox available. It is a little small for trips to the Los Coronados Islands just over the border in Mexico. Here is the website for the Lois Ann.

The following website lists other boats on the California

http://californiadiveboats.com/

The viz here in SoCal can vary with the best viz usually at the offshore islands, Water temp ranges from 54 in the winter to maybe 69 or 70 in late summer.

Thanks buddy !

I found the californiadiveboats' link very useful.

Do you think that sea conditions by late september allows the trip to San Clemente?

Howdy!

Welcome to SB!!
:happywave Put us in your computer's favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue :argue:

I was certified in September 2002 and the conditions should be pretty good at that time of year. San Clemente usually has some of the best viz in SoCal. September also is the time of year when water will be the warmest. Enjoy.
