OK. Probably a totally stupid question (it's only my 2nd post!), but I REALLY like the size/setup of the Samsung X210L Sports Camcorder.

Would this be usable underwater (w/the appropriate housing, of course)? If so, what would be the appropriate housing?

Thanks alot!

If so, what would be the appropriate housing?
No one makes one that I'm aware of. It's possible it would fit it into a housing for a Sony PC100/1000 as they have the same sort of vertical orientation -assuming the lens port would line up with the Samsung's lens. But since Samsung doesn't provide a LANC control jack, there would be no way to control the camera electronically in the housing.

Or possibly an Ikelite PC-series housing, but their controls are set up for Sony models. Maybe they could customize one for it. And they're wide enough that the lcd could be open inside.

The housing mfr's website list is here:

I'll look into it!

Thanks for the info! I've seen the sports cam for sale for $350 (for the 205 model), so maybe it's something I can take a gamble on...
