salaries for the staff on liveaboard

Hallo everybody
could anyone advise how much you should pay for a good , multilanguage dive guide for 5* liveaboard in Indonesia? same time what is the salary of liveaboard criuse director?

A good Balinese land based local dive guide would get approx 1.5 juta Rupiah per month. Are you asking for employing staff or paying for their services during your holiday?
Not sure how many course directors work on liveaboards (if any)

I'm not sure what value a course director would have on a liveaboard. Do people travel to Indonesia and pay top dollar for an all inclusive, luxury liveaboard yacht and IDC package often?

She meant cruise director. I pay my staff $100 per day plus tips.

Dang, $100 a day? When I first started working a liveaboard in the Bahamas I got $100 a week plus tips. It still ended up being good money thanks to the tips, but not $100 a day good money

US based crew, US flagged boat, and I'm tired of seeing threads whining about dive operators who supplement their crews salaries with tips. We do a lot of research, where there is no tipping involved.

Since you treat your crew right, do you see much turnover in divemaster positions? I have a few instructor friends who are looking to get back to liveaboards.
