L_D: Which company (online or otherwise) sells the halcyon brand of equipment? I've seen it posted somewhere on here, but I haven't had enough Red Bull this morning to remember.

Extreme Exposure is actually the retail arm of Halcyon. Currently you can order from either Halcyon or EE. In the near future, they will be reorganizing so that dealers/shops will deal with Halcyon and indivuals like you and me will deal with EE.

H20 adventure gear is a reputable outfit as well (they are the online retail presence of 5th dimension scuba, a DIR-friendly shop located in Washington state).

pressing the purge button might be acceptable for warm water
divers but in the cold water environments it is a potential
free flow. also, you've just removed your primary gas supply
from your mouth. Or, you are using an "oct": my backup reg
is not on a long enough necklace to use even if I wanted
to risk the free-flow.

hold the opening of the bag over the exhaust "t" of your
primary and exhale. properly positioned the exhaust will
float up into the bag. of course, a non-locking LP inflator
"nipple" and LP hose is another option.

i've also read of "purging" gas from your wing into the bag
via that inflator.
