We spent a week with the wonderful folks of Sea Saba in early September. Sea Saba is a full service, concierge operation. From our original inquiry with Sea Saba Lynn, to the cab ride to the airport on departure day, our needs were anticipated and fulfilled. If desired, Sea Saba will arrange arrival transportation, hotel, daily restaurant reservations and any other desired activities while on the island.
Sea Saba's dive operation is very well run and able to accommodate both experienced and novice divers. Safety is paramount and lived with each dive. The boats are well maintained and well suited to the dive conditions in Saba. Your gear is rinsed daily, stored on the dive boats and set up the next morning before you arrive.
The Captains Kelly and Aaron along with Dive Guides Jack, Rob and Vicky insured that we got the most out of each dive. The stars of Saba diving for me were the pinnacle, sea mounts, rich colors and small critters. The majority of my dives were with Kelly, Aaron and Jack who are all very good at finding the "small stuff".
Sea Saba hosts a video presentation each Monday evening highlighting some of Saba's history and the wonderful underwater world that exists around Saba.
The people of Saba are very welcoming. It is obvious they enjoy having the "touristos" on the island.
Did I mention the food! Outstanding restaurant experiences at Brigadoon, Swinging Doors and the Eco Lodge.
I chose to spend the majority of my time diving and did not take the opportunity to experience Saba's hiking trails. Next time!
