Thinking of adding a single video light for daytime use with the RX100. I also have a YS01 with a single arm.
I'd like the kit to be as light as possible and don't want to add another arm for video.
Considering adding a single video light to the cold shoe with a YS mount.

Will a single video light help bring out reef color in daytime?
Or is a single video light not really going to help and instead just WB and color correct in post and maybe use the modelling light on the YS01 for closeup video with a hotspot?
If using a single video light should I go with 2400 lumens for reefs, fish, and small critters?
If using cold shoe for light will there be back scatter?

Originally wanted to keep kit as light as possible, but saw this video:

Natural Light
Sony RX-100 Mark II Underwater Test w/ Nauticam Housing - YouTube

and it looks really washed out and soft. Not sure if it's the youtube compression or just bad vis.

I've also seen no light RX100 video like below, which doesn't look that sharp (possibly video compression). However, there's some color and contrast.

No Light WB
RX100 - White Balance Test in 25fps.mp4 - YouTube

I'd like to get some video with some color, contrast and sharpness like below.

2400 LED
Sony RX100 M2 Video with FIT LED 2400 Video Light @ TULEMBAN, Bali - YouTube

I'm pretty sure some shots here use video light
RX100 - White Balance Test in 25fps.mp4 - YouTube

However, I came across this video where it looks like the person has a video light mounted on top of camera and is getting a lot of back scatter. I'm not sure if all video would look like this with this setup or if it's just the person in front kicking up a lot of sand.

A single light will be just good enough for macro. And even two lights won't really make a difference in day light at wide end

Most of wide angle is shot in ambient light if you want to see some better example check my channel

This is my last video, the lights are only used for extreme close up and macro with some exceptions
