Any ideas on how to remove a rust stain from a BCD? I guess mine, or the bag, had enough moisture in it. I found a little spot (the size of a screw head) where the BC was sitting in the bag for a couple days. Any ideas on how to get it out, without hurting the gear?

First I'd start by sprinkling ample amounts of salt on the rust marks and then applying fresh lemon juice, leave for 15 mins. and rinse with warm water. If it dulls the stain repeat. If that doesn't neutralize the stain, you will have to use a commercial product.

A stain??? I think I would dive it intensely until the stain disappeared. But I am much more into function than appearance.

Sharpie permanent marker. Use it to draw an arrow pointing to the stain. Great conversation starter. Tell em it's from where the iron tooth shark tried to bite you. Seriously though I'm with AWAP. Would not worry about it. It's like a good gun. Scratches and small nicks show you use it.

Rust stains up the cool factor. Just tell people they came from when you were wedging yourself into that previously unknown wreck you discovered. My wing, drysuit and tanks all have rust stains on then (from diving not sitting around) I just see it as a badge of honor.

It's not that I worry about it, it's just that the BCD is almost new. I will try the juice and salt and if that doesnt work I'll just let it go. I must say, It's an Edge stelth 2 and it is a fantastic BCD.
