rule of thumb on weight need for a wet suit

i have a 7 mm 4xl full suit and i was wondering the weight needed for neutral buoyancy. is there any figures or tables to this or is it just rule of thumb trying to figure out the weight need to offset the wet suit?


getting in to tech diving and the more knowledge i have the better.

The rules of thumb are not going to apply to you as you are outside the bell curve at 4XL. Even for "typical" people they are just a starting point. Nothing short of a full weight check is doing to get you dialed in properly. Sorry.

We must agree with GrumpyOldGuy on this one. There is no set amount of weight, it is always best to do a bouyancy check with your instructor or divemaster. This is based on many factors including fresh or salt water, level of diving comfort, exposure protection etc
