I need a little more info. There is all kind of info and opinion on the diving, the lodging, and food of Boanire, but I want a new perspective on things. We have booked our honeymoon to Boanire and I want to know if there are any particularly romantics locations on the island.

Romance on Bonaire???

Very much so.

I like the Divi Flamingo Hotel restaurant-Chibi-chibi.

The view of the sunset is incredible and you can feed the fish as it overlooks the water. But you'll want to eat ever bit of your meal cause the food is the best on the island-and I think I've eaten at all the restaurants.

The north side of the island is very rugged with HUGE surging waves. Very romantic. The wild donkeys are less romantic. Iguanas even less so.

I think the most romantic place on Bonaire is underneath the water.

No matter where you go on Bonaire it's a romantic getaway (as long as you don't go with a big group):)

Buddys dive resort has a guide (Henk) who will take you on a underground cave snorkel. I guess you could call this romatic, it is a lot of fun. You should be in in resonably good shape, as there is repeling, and climbing on wet rocks to get down into the cave syst. Henk took just my wife and I. He is very knowledgeable and safety conscious.
I do not remember the cost, but it was resonable.
Enjoy,
Mike

I got married in November, and my husband and I went to Bonaire and Curacao for our honeymoon. We thought that Bonaire was very romantic because of its quiet pace and beautiful waters. We stayed at the Plaza Resort, and although the rooms are not cozy in a romantic sense, the island definitely was. We also had almost daily dinners right on the water- a bottle of wine, the surf right next to your table, candlelight...about as romantic as it gets for me... have fun on your honeymoon, whereever you decide to go!

The most upscale lodging on Bonaire is Harbour Village Some of its packages can be very expensive, but there are many packages that are very resonable. You will love it. Check out their web iste www.harbourvillage.com
