I am please to announce the Roddenberry Dive Club's 3rd Dive event. See Details Below.
Mission #3: Coronados Islands - February 16th, 2008
Featuring Special Guest: Herb Gruenhagen
Join Eugene Roddenberry and the Roddenberry Dive Club, with special guest Herb Gruenhagen, on Mission #3 to the Coronados Islands.
Requirements:
Must be a certified scuba diver to enter water
Must sign a liability release prior to boarding (Download waiver)
Included:
Breakfast

Light Lunch

Air Fills (Nitrox available at extra cost)
Itinerary:
On the day of the dive, boarding begins on the Lois Ann at 6:30am and departs at 7:00am sharp. Over the course of the one-day trip, three exciting dives will be offered to participants. The Lois Ann will return to dock at 5:00pm.
About the boat:
The Lois Ann has been serving divers in San Diego since 1990. 49' long, the Lois Ann can accommodate 20 passengers. She has 2 crew members on board at all times; a Captain and Mate/Dive Master.
About Herb Gruenhagen:
Certified: OW 1968 in northern California
Current cert: PADI Divemaster, since October 2005
Number of dives in California, 1600+
He does weekly beach dives from local San Diego beaches, mostly from La Jolla Shores.
Director of Reef Monitoring Systems, SD Ocean Foundation since 2004. He has trained over 250 local divers to count local inshore fishes and invertebrates. He was on the dive team that did the first day inspection of the YUKON and was on the reef monitoring team that did scientific surveys on the YUKON for the first 4 years (2000-2004).
Director: San Diego Ocean Foundation (for 1 year and counting)
President/Webmaster: San Diego Underwater Photographic Society (4 years now and counting)
Newsletter Editor/Webmaster: Bottom Bunch Dive Club.
He is a published still image underwater photographer and underwater filmmaker.He has also contributed short films for the annual SCUBA show in Long Beach continuous film festival for the last 5 years and has been the MC for the annual SDUPS underwater film festival for the last 3 years.
