Well the weatherman lied again, our NW winds came from the NE and white caps were everywhere on the open water but only 1' rollers at the loading dock. The water was a balmy 37 f by my computer, viz was 2 or 3 feet. The good part was that I actually warmed up after getting in the water. Lake Huron has dropped 2' from what I remember this last summer and it appears that Beavers may be moving in UNDER the concrete deck of the loading dock. We came accross a lot of aspen branches stuffed up between the pilings.

Sooo... now we can offer some Beaver diving in Thunder Bay as well as some great wreck. My appologizes to those of the fairer sex but I just couldn't help it. :-)

Hell man, I had 34° on on my sensus ultra, and 30° on my data trans. I also posted some of the photos Jeff took they are here: ScubaBoard Gallery - mlakin Gallery - Powered by PhotoPost

Thanks again Jeff, and Jim for the surface support and photography skills, just too bad we didn't get the wetsuit divers on the camera

I doubt 30 f was the water temp but I think I've seen the computers pickup the air temp (if colder) and log that for the dive temp before. I was suprised that mine did not do that to me Tuesday. I must have kept my left arm down more. My thumb was going numb before the dive but once in the water it warmed up just fine. When do you want to go Beaver hunting? :-)
