I am booked to go on the Rocio del Mar to Socorro in May 2015 and am looking forward to it. But since I made that booking over a year ago, the boat appears to have undergone some refurbishment, particularly with regard to cabin layout.

The original deck plan showed that in the 6 cabins on the middle deck, there were 2 single beds parallel to each other and a well-designed en suite bathroom. But I understand that now the beds are in an L-shaped configuration, with one each at upper and lower levels. How does this affect the ergonomics of the room and more importantly, has the refurbishment compromised the layout of the bathroom?

Also, does anyone know if there are laundry facilities on board? Soon after disembarking the boat I have a complicated flight connection to get to Bonaire for another week of diving there. I won't have much time between trips but thought that the last (non-diving) day on the boat as it returns to Los Cabos would be perfect to do some laundry.

I didn't see the cabins before, but the L-shaped layout now makes for a lovely large floor space which was appreciated by those with large camera rigs. Our stateroom, in the bow, had an odd-shaped "double" bed, and very little floor space at all.

I don't think they changed the bathrooms at all when they moved the bunks.
