Nice pictures thanks for sharing, dove there two years ago I really enjoyed the shore dives the Aeroplane, Mr Bud's wreck and Newmans wall .

We dove Newman's Wall and the Prince Albert again this trip....didn't dive the Mr. Bud this time but dove it in June.....all are good dives....but then there are no really bad dives off Roatan!

Yes I dove Newman's from shore and it just gets deeper dove to 150ft and it still continued a gradual drop. Just checked my log realised I made a mistake on the shore dive wreck it was Prince Alberts, I also Dove Mr Bud but this was from a boat. Anyway so far for me Fantasy Island shore diving was the best so far when compared to Cozumel and Habitat Curacoa.

Love Roatan and Every dive there is a good one! But what does a white Bird related to a Pigeon have to do with it???? :mooner:

Any changes in the resort with the new owner? Can you report on your experience with the resort, dive operator, food, etc?

Thanks

Yes there are a lot of changes. We were originally told things were going to be pretty much the same the owners were the same, but they had leased the facility to a group for managment. We did find a lot of changes with the staff at the reception desk. Eleanor is gone(she came by to visit with us...she is now at Henry Morgans)...There is a new chef, don Francisco is no longer employed. I had no problem with the food, but then I didn't have a problem when don Francisco was head chef. One thing I did like is they have gone back to using the main dining room for all meals and don't have lunch downstairs anylonger. The dive operation doesn't seem to have been affected. Robert is still in charge of operations and Pedro, Moses, Derry, Darren, Demos are all still with FI. I think if you were a FI fan before you will still be a FI fan even with the new operations and new folks there, and if you didn't care for FI before, you probably will not find sufficient differences to change your attitude. As long as they don't mess with the dive shop we will be back.

Great pictures. I'm curious, what kind of camera did you use? I'm a pretty new diver and would like to get an underwater camera. Was this pretty high end stuff?

Thanks!
