What is the best budget option, I want to dive as much as possible. food and accommodation not that important. I am traveling by myself. any options for under $100 a day?

You can stay at the Reef House Resort for about that price for an all inclusive dive trip. I thought about going there, but decided to spend a couple more dollars and go to CCV, so that I have the Prince Albert wreck to dive from shore any time I want, and hopefully a little more company.

Considering giving Roatan a try the last week of December. Is there currently a resort at Spooky Channel? TIA

Some research on the forum suggests that the long pier is still there, but is now associated with some "villas". Also looks like whether that pier can be accessed depends on whether someone is staying in the nearest villa.

Had hoped that such a pier might have tanks stored at the end for shore diving as I had found at a spot once in Bonaire.

Other research suggests that Coco View would yield the most bottom time on Roatan, short of doing the liveaboard.

I had quite some nice dives while I was in Roatan two weeks back. Apparently got out right before a big storm.

The highlight was definitely two giant spotted eagle rays right before a safety stop, though I got an ear infection and couldn't do Aguila or Hole In The Wall (bah). Really liked Reef Gliders too, the DM's were super chill and wanted to look for shrimp and slugs and other such tiny things. I definitely got to see new wildlife as a result and my g/f really enjoyed the instructor there since he was methodical and she was nervous about learning.

Great weather the past few days. The water temp has been 78-79 (81 in the shallows sometimes). Vis has been pretty good too (we are near French Harbor).
