I like the oil free, lower speed of Rix compressors as I would like a Nitrox stick later for some continuous blending. Yes, there is more frequent maintainance, but not too frequent for my use. My other option is a used electric Bauer Mariner. Any good reasons for not buying the Rix for home use /10,000ft 3 of gas a year use?:no

I just bought a used RIX myself, so I'm learning about them as I go along. There is a lot of good info on The Deco Stop by other RIX users. RIX does not recommend continuous blending for their compressors. The guy I bought mine from did, but I don't plan to. I have a buddy that has a Bauer and it's a great machine as well. He's owned it for over 4 years (bought used) and hasn't had any problems.
