While rinsing my Ranger BC last week I discovered that the top of right side weight pocket has ripped out of the main part.

What should I do with it now, its ripped far enough that weight bags could easily fall out if upside down? Its 6 years old and has about a hundred dives on it.

Call Zeagle??

My chest strap on my bc came apart, (ripped). I took it to a local shoe repair shop and showed them what I needed, and showed them where the bladder was so they would not puncture it. The little Chinese guy had never seen one before, but 2 days and $10.00 later you can't tell it was ever ripped. My LDS said I could send it to Seaquest and they would repair it, but it would have cost me more in just shipping charges.

I believe that Zeagle repairs any of their BC's forever. Take it back to the dive shop and ask them to return it to Zeagle for you. The owner of my LDS has sent his back 6 times, it has thousands of pool and open water dives on it, and Scott (Zeagle) smiles and sends it back repaired.

From the Zeagle website:

"All Zeagle Buoyancy Systems are hand sewn from the best available materials and heavily reinforced at all stress points. Our style of construction is labor intensive and expensive, but it results in a more durable, better fitting BC. Individual components of the system are replaceable or repairable if damaged. This quality of construction makes it possible for us to offer a limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. If a defect appears or the system fails at any time while you own it, Zeagle will repair or replace the system free of charge."

Can't beat a warranty like that.

Yep send it back. If you don't have a locale dealer then call Zeagle tool free and get a RA#. They will ask you a few questions so they know what to repair. Shouldn't cost you anything but shipping.

I'm thinking Zeagles come with a good(?lifetime) warranty.....IMO, call them & ask if they can repair it......
