For those who, like me, have been hanging around ScubaBoard forever...

Brent, the owner of the long-gone but never-forgotten Bluewater Divers out of Port Largo, Key Largo, passed away yesterday- Friday, October 3rd, 2025.

Many years ago, Bluewater Divers was the small charter of choice for many ScubaBoarders. It was no-frills, but Brent made it special, honest, blue-collar, and friendly —just like him. I knew from the moment I met him that I wanted him as a friend. He was just that kind of person- a truly good and kind man. I can't tell you how many dives I made off that boat, but some of my best days in Key Largo were talking music, politics, and family with Brent. Twenty years later and he always made it a point to catch up/check in once or twice a year. He was special that way.

I will miss him always. Here's to Brent!

Well Dang, so sorry to hear. I was friends with Brent on FB. Shook hands with him once and promised to use his boat the next time in the Keys. It never happened.
So sorry he is gone. Condolences to his family and friends.
