Greetings! I am a new member of this board and a new owner of a 5060 with a PT-020 housing. It's now time for everything else: Strobe, tray/arms, accessories. I'm looking for suggestions and help. Any would be appreciated.

I am partial to Inon products. Strobe options: D2000 of Z220. Inon also makes great add on lenses. I am not sure which ones work with the 5060 due to the front element moving. Tray & arms: Ultralight (ULCS) are by far my favorite.

Ask away with any questions.

Have you got a picture of your rig? I'm especially interested in the Ultralight tray and handle. I have the Ike tray, and am not thrilled with it.

Hi Allison,

I actually shoot a Nikon D70 in a Nexus housing so I have nothing to show you. Here is a link to ULCS website where you can get some ideas:

If you have any specific questions....ask away!

Thanks - right now I'm leaning towards the Inon D2000 w/ Ultralight tray and arms. Not sure about lenses. There's another thread that basically eliminates the effectiveness of the Inon WA in a PT-020 housing with the 5060. Any suggestions?

The Inon WAL works with the 5060 in the PT-020 housing...it just doesn't take advantage of the 5060's wider lens to give you results that are wider than you would get from the 5050.

I have an Ikelite housing enroute, and am interested in buying a DS 50 Ikelite strobe($ an issue) single set up. The camera is a 5060. I'd appreciate input as to the type of cable to utilize.

The manual controller cable, the synch cord cable, or the slave cable set up all which are availabe at the same price including the strobe arm. The dealer suggests the synch set up but has never used a camera underwater.

With the 5060, it would be a travesty not to take advantage of Ikelite's Olympus TTL Conversion circuitry that is supplied at no charge with your housing...

TTL is automatic strobe exposure, controlled by your olympus camera, and is only available with Ikelite ds strobes connected via a sync cord.

This is the appropriate package:

I am pleased using my Inon D-180 strobe. Have been using it for about half a year and no problems. Inon Grib Base II and added Ultra Light components seem to do the job (from Seaoptics). It would be nicer if the strobe could be removed so it can be used handhold as well. Seaoptics has the additional components I think. Depends on your budget as well, it all adds to the cost. For some example shots see:
