Good afternoon Scubaboard,

We published a new episode in our Eurotek Tec-talks series.

Richie Kohler
A technical wreck diver and shipwreck explorer, Richie Kohler is known worldwide for his work as a host of History Channels Deep Sea Detectives. He has always had a passion for researching shipwrecks and locating lost vessels. Identifying the German U-boat, the U869, launched his career into the making of documentary films. Teamed up with his buddy John Chatterton, the pair headed on a quest for the RMS Titanic, an expedition which provided new evidence about Titanic's sinking. This discovery lead to the production of three award winning History Channel documentaries.

At Eurotek, Richie tells the story of the USS Lagarto, the US submarine that sank in the Gulf of Thailand at the end of WWII. Except for the location, there was no information available on the circumstances under which the USS Lagarto sank. Richie's team was able to find out what had happened in the last moments before the sinking, offering the families of the crew closure about this tragic event.

PS. There will be two Richie Kohler interviews. The second one is scheduled for the end of next week.

Best regards,

Peter Cabus
