The usual 2 suspects set out this morning for a return to the Hvoslof. Lake atlantic was the description for the ride out. We arrived a slack high tide, and rushed to gear up. The Hvoslof lies just outside the anchorage in the mouth of the Delaware bay. Current and vis can be an issue if not slack high. I was first up and went down the linein warm 70 degree water, till 50 fsw when the lights went out and the temperature went waaaaay down. I feared the worst but emerged from the funk layer at 120fsw to a dark 30 foot of vis. I enjoyed an easy tie in and some quality alone time in 135 fsw for the first 30 minutes till scooter boy showed up. He went to the stern and I went back toward the bow. Wreck is easy to navigate using the steel keel as refrance. The wreck is also a magnet for ghost pots. After 45 minutes I had pegged the fun meter. I took a flounder for dinner and stalked a big taug to no avail. RT 75 minutes, 1 and done and we called a day!
