I am very excited that it seems like we'll be able to keep our plans.

I am fatigued by repair talk. I'm returning to my pre-hurricane status of a happy theme: "Woohoo, Vacation!" Only two more weeks of cranking out reports and I will be near the water.

Anyone else planning to be in Coz Nov. 26-Dec 3? (Before the big H, everyone was asking for this sort of information. I'd like to return to this positive thread.)

I'll be there Dec 9-13th! (Then heading to Akumal for 5 days) I love dive trips right between Thanksgiving & Xmas - less crowded, usually great weather, and a nice rest before heading into the crappy snow filled winter.

Enjoy your diving and a more peaceful Cozumel this year!

Hope you make it down and back ok, sounds like the island will be ready for you, I just hope the airlines don't let you down by constantly jacking with their schedules or canceling flights due to lack of fliers!! Good luck!
 
Trips to Coz set for December and January (will go one or the other), maybe the "Cozumel wild side" dive trip (a trip we had planned before the big H which we may still be able to do - no one knows what went on with the'other side' of the island yet so we'll see) in March then the "big one" 3 weeks to Truk, Thailand and Wakatobi in May...its a tough life, but someone has to live it!!!!!
 
We are going to Hotel Coz and dive with Apple's DP the 26th Nov. - 3rd of Dec. My first trip to Coz and I am really excited. Part of what I am looking forward to besides diving is helping out where I can in the afternoon's. I am sure there will be plenty of opportunities. First, no second, time I have packed work gloves on a vacation ....can't wait !

My original trip to Scuba Club Cozumel was planned for October 29 and has been rescheduled for Nov 26 thru Dec 3. I was concerned it might be too soon but was told that SCC came through the hurricane fairly well and will be open for business soon. It should be an interesting dive trip indeed.
Like others I have strong feelings for Cozumel and the people that live there following such a devastating storm. I also admit concerns about my dive trip plans and would welcome any information about Scuba Club Cozumel and conditions for diving.
Trips downtown for food and drink, people watching and shopping are fun, I can't imagine what the scene will be like in three weeks.
