I have been using an Equinox ProPak 6 housing with my Sony DCR-TRV33. Christmas, my wife got me a HDR-HC7. One of the original reasons that I went with Equinox was that they could refit the housing to the new camera very economically, rather than me having to buy a whole new housing.
I contacted TJ Mansfield with Equinox and he instructed me to send not only the housing, but the camera. I mailed them out a week ago and I have everything back now. The retro-fit works as I tried the camera in the housing last night. Also, I filled the laundry tub up and let the empty weighted housing sit in there for a couple of hours, just to be on the safe side. Everything is fine.
I think a made a good decision on the housing as I moved up to HD video, I did not have to buy a very expensive new housing. I thought some of you might find this of interest.
