My wife and I just finished our PADI Open Water Certification this past weekend. I was certified in 1971 through NAUI, but haven't dived for many years, and needed to start from scratch. Our plan is retirement to a warm weather beach location, as of yet to be determined. Boating and diving will be part of our new lifestyle, projected for less than fours years from now. I'm currently looking for a winter dive vacation, where "she who will be obeyed" will become totally hooked, (just kidding sweetie). I've read some interesting things about Cozumel, and the airfare is quite a bit less expensive than the Eastern Caribbean. Our intent is to have the academic portion of the Advanced Open Water Certification completed prior to a dive vacation, and as many dives as possible towards that goal, considering our schedules and the impending cold weather. Any advice along those lines is greatly appreciated.
