Hi!
I'm a diver and a high school teacher who who is working on an Oceans class. (It's not an official "science" class). I plan to collect samples of of ocean water when I'm there as was considering collecting other samples... I need input please:
1. I want to be responsible in what I collect (I won't be collecting fish any whole specimins or killing anything). What IS acceptable?
2. Is it ok to collect a kelp leaf?
3. How should I collect water at depth? Plastic bag?
Any other FRIENDLY input would be helpful. While I've consulted with our schools science teacher, I myself am NOT a science teacher. I teach special ed.
What I plan to do with these things depends on what I collect. For example we will compare sea water from depth and from the surface.
Thanks!
