Reservations for Utila in March?

Im leaving monday morning for Mexico and will be backpacking on down to Utila for two weeks of diving in mid march. Do I need to make arrangements with a dive shop before hand or can I just "wing-it" in true backpacker style. Im looking at two weeks of fun dives and the afternoon whaleshark expeditions. Im not going to be getting any certs done this time.

I was on Utila for almost 4 months from april to july and never saw a single person with reservation other than the all inclusive resorts. They are just too many dive shops that all compete and most do a great job. Unless you must dive with one particular place, I'd "wing-it" and go with the flow.
