Hi bvanant, i could not see that the camera description posted correctly, and could not delete that thread, so i made another one. But i noticed you commented so description must be visible to others. Anyway, you said:Isn't this the same question as in the Oly thread. Probably should only post in one spot.

I have three of the Sola NIGHTSEA lights, and fluorescence is a challenge. But i also want photos of strobe snoot white light, so ill have some more detailed photos too.Well the tripod is not necessary for stills, it just gets in the way. For video though a tripod is a requirement for small stuff (unless you want to get your viewers seasick). For fluorescence using stills you will need more than a blue light, you will need a filter for the strobe. Most fluorescence is quite weak, using a blue CW light to take stills will be painful, you will need very slow shutter speeds, high iso and a tolerance for fuzzy photos.

A filter that only lets blue light through? You can get a filter for the strobe, makes still photos much easier
